For nearly four decades, the mother of all sporting upsets belonged to India. It was getting lonely at the top for Lord’s 83, somewhat jaded as it waited for genuine company. Along the way, a lot of close hits and wide misses, but nothing perhaps counted. Then, on Monday, in sunny Tokyo, an Indian women’s hockey team, low in prominence, but high on belief, did the unthinkable.
